Senator Hotel

Modern hotel on edge of centre, 5-10 min walk from Skanderbeg Square and main visitor attractions, 10 min from Airport bus terminus. The room was a reasonable size with huge bed, decent shower room, desk. Wifi and aircon both fine. Breakfast was excellent, good selection with some Albanian specialities. I liked the neighbourhood, it has a very genuine feel with life lived on the streets, it has escaped the creeping gentrification of some areas giving it a lived-in look where cafes/restaurants are full of locals and great value. You can pay by creditcard (not so common in Albania!).

We needed a one -night place to stay close to Tirana center , and this place had what we needed! We walked around all the neighborhood for cafes, restaurants, the main square and bazar , and it took us almost 30 minutes to arrive at Tirana park :) The room came with acceptable space, extra comfortable beds and pillows, and the staff were more than helpful with all our requests for fixes and adjustments :) Excellent value for money, and would stay here again in my next visit!

Great location, easy check in, friendly staff helped arrange print outs for return flights (mobile tickets not permitted). Beds comfortable, bathroom fine and breakfast decent. Exceptional value with Genius discount.

The receptionist at check-in and check-out (same lady) was very friendly. The room I stayed in was modern, with a smart tv and comfortable. Bathroom was good also. The breakfast was a set plate with your choice of eggs (scrambled, fried etc.). Whilst it looked like they have a buffet set-up, I imagine that owing to it not being a peak season they elected for a set plate to not waste food/lose money on food, which I can’t fault. The breakfast plate itself was plentiful (two plates, sweet and savoury), I was not asked about dietary requirements beforehand, so if you have any I’d highlight when booking or to the staff prior to going down for food, not an issue for me but more advice for future guests if the buffet option is not available.

The hotel was so central, about a 5 minute walk to the centre square and everyrhing else we wanted to see/do was also easily walkable. The decor was lovely, beds were comfy. Very good value for money for what we paid.
